Property Map
Located on the southern end of West Feliciana Parish near historic Oakley Plantation, this 30-acre property is populated by majestic oaks and pine trees. After entering through a stately wooden gate, visitors drive down a winding road past a glade of bamboo, a petite lagoon, and a stand of pines to emerge into an open meadow with views of the main pond and the sculptured stone folly. At the central highpoint of the property, Isiah, a massive 200-year-old live oak leans gracefully down on its many boughs, covered with Spanish moss. Tucked away beyond Isiah, the Main House with brick steps descending into the large open courtyard, finally comes into view. At night, the two story high-ceilinged house appears as a large ship perched and aglow over a harbor. It is a magical sight.
Dellamata has borne witness to numerous important ceremonies in our own family’s life (three weddings, a baptism, a memorial service, as well as several weddings for friends. We would love to share our property with others who will appreciate this sacred space.
